Abbottstown, PA (July 31, 2021) – Freddie Rahmer scored his fourth win of the season on Saturday night, extending his point lead in the race for the track championship. “We just positioned ourselves there. Chase was setting a pretty good pace, it was early on and he just got a little too high off of four and we were in a good spot.” Rahmer inherited the lead from Dietz on lap 13 after Chase went to the pits to change a right rear flat tire.

After taking over the lead, Rahmer was not challenged for the top spot, “I don’t how good we were there really there at the end but it worked out.”

With some big races looming ahead on the schedule Rahmer has his eye on finishing out the season strong, “Glad to get the win for everybody. There’s a lot of racing and we got to keep focused.”

Chase Dietz shared the front row for the start of the 30-lap feature with his uncle, Cory Haas.

Dietz led the field into turn 1 with Freddie taking a look under Haas for second. Haas held the second spot with Freddie on his bumper. Freddie slid Haas for second in turns 1 and 2 on the second lap. Brandon Rahmer moved up to fourth on lap 2 before the caution came out for Jim Siegel. Siegel was off the pace on the back stretch while running fifth.

Dietz led Freddie, Haas, Brandon and Robbie Kendall to the cone for the single file restart. Dietz got a good jump and used the high line in turn 1 with Freddie opting to look low.

The caution flag flew again on lap 3 when Trey Hivner and Brie Hershey got together in turn 4. Aaron Bollinger also came to a stop on the front stretch.

Dietz had another good restart and again the caution flew. The lap four caution came out for JJ Grasso who got spun around in turn 2.

Freddie got his nose under Dietz in 1 and 2 on the restart but Dietz held on to the top spot. Kendall was challenging Brandon for fourth and finally had the spot by half a car length at the line on lap 9.

Kendall went to work on reeling in Haas for third as Freddie was closing in on the leader, Dietz.

As lapped traffic loomed ahead Dietz brought out the caution on lap 13 as he was leading the race. Dietz hit the wall coming out of turn 4 and his right rear tire went flat.

Freddie inherited the lead and Dietz did rejoin the field after changing a tire.

The top five for the restart were Freddie, Haas, Kendall, Brandon and Troy Wagaman.

Freddie had a good restart while Haas and Kendall battled for second behind him.

Moody got by Wagaman for fifth on lap 14 but Troy wasn’t going anywhere. The two drivers continued to battle for the fifth spot with Troy taking it back on lap 17.

The yellow flag waved again on lap 19 when Chad Trout nearly landed on his side on the front stretch. Trout had a rear axle break coming out of turn 4 ending his night.

Track officials called for a fuel stop taking the yellow flag to a red to allow teams on the track.

Haas stayed with Freddie on the restart and Moody and Wagaman continued their battle for fifth.

Freddie got to the checkered flag 1.172 seconds ahead of Haas. Kendall crossed the line third and Brandon was fourth. Moody held off Wagaman to complete the top five.

Chase Dietz set quick time over the 28-car field with a lap of 13.542 seconds. The 410 sprint car heat races went to Freddie Rahmer, Cory Haas and Robbie Kendall. The hard charger of the feature was Tyler Ross, driving from 15th to 7th. The hard luck award went to Chad Trout.

Jeff Rohrbaugh Claims 358 Sprint Victory

Zachary Cool and Ashley Cappetta shared the front row for the $1,500 to win 20-lap feature. Cool led the field into turn 1 but the yellow flag waved before a lap was completed. Cameron Smith was sitting backwards in turn 1 and Wyatt Hinkle came to a stop in turn 2.

The field lined up for a complete restart with Cool leading the field into turn 1 once again. Jeff Rohrbaugh was up to second and had his eyes set on first.

Zane Rudisill and Tyler Esh were battling for fourth when the caution came out again on lap 1 when Tony Hippensteel spun around in turns 1 and 2.

Cool paced the field ahead of Rohrbaugh, Cappetta, Rudisill and Esh for the restart.

Cool had a solid restart but Rohrbaugh stayed within striking distance. Rudisill was all over Cappetta for third and Owings drove by Esh to enter the top five.

Rudisill made the pass on Cappetta for third at the line on lap 3.

Rohrbaugh’s pass for the lead came coming off turn 4 on lap 4. Cool got a nose back under Rohrbaugh in turns 3 and 4 but could not reclaim the top spot.

Cappetta was battling Rudisill to try and take third back with Owings on her bumper, making it a three car battle for the spot.

Owings got by Cappetta for fourth before the caution came out on lap 7 for Justin Foster in turns 3 and 4.

The top five for the restart were Rohrbaugh, Cool, Rudisill, Owings and Cappetta.

Rudisill looked to the outside of Cool in turns 1 and 2 on the restart and took the runner up spot at the line on lap 8.

Rudisill was using the top line around the track to close in on the leader Rohrbaugh. Cool was holding off Owings for third when Rudisill hit the wall in turn 4 and fell back to the third spot.

Hayden Miller brought out the yellow flag on lap 10 when he stopped on the front stretch with a flat right rear tire.

Rohrbaugh led Cool, Rudisill, Owings and Cappetta to the cone for the restart.

Rudisill took second back from Cool at the line and Owings tried to follow, but could not get by Cool as they were running the same line around the track.

Rohrbaugh started to pull away as the laps wound down. Cool had his #99 rolling around the bottom as Rudisill ripped the top. The two battled side by side down the back stretch with Cool taking second back on lap 18.

Rohrbaugh had lapped traffic in front of him when the white flag waved.

Rohrbaugh crossed the line 2.449 seconds ahead of Cool. Owings got by Rudisill on the last lap for third and Cappetta completed the top five.

As the checkered flag was waving, Riley Emig got spun around in turns 1 and 2 bringing out the caution along with the checkered.
