ABBOTTSTOWN, PA – With space-age technology intended to help homeowners reduce energy bills, increase energy efficiency, and live more comfortably, World Energy Systems thinks big.
And its latest idea is simply out of this world.
World Energy Systems and Lincoln Speedway have teamed up to announce the biggest 358 sprint car show in Lincoln Speedway history.
The inaugural 30-lap "World Energy Systems World Championship for 358 Sprint Cars" to be run on Saturday, August 7, 2010, will offer a $5,500 increase over the normal Lincoln purse and pay $5,500 to the winner.
The number "55" is an important part of the World Energy Systems message, representing the percentage of energy savings homeowners can expect in electric and gas bills.
World Energy Systems is introducing radiant reflector technology developed by NASA over 40 years ago to protect astronauts in the Apollo program from temperatures that ranged from 250̊F to -460̊F. This reflective insulation has been applied to every spacecraft since then, including unmanned spacecraft with delicate instruments that need protection from extreme temperatures.
And it’s the same technology World Energy Systems uses in consumers’ homes today, reducing heat transfer from attic to living spaces, extending the life of air conditioning units, and retaining heat generated indoors during winter months. World Energy Systems also offers garage door insulation kits, water heater insulation, Earth Massage showerheads, and EvoLUX LED light bulbs.
With the previously-scheduled Lincoln 358 sprint car championship slated to pay $1,500-to-win, World Energy Systems has provided an extra $4,000 to the winner, making the winner’s share the highest ever paid in the 358 sprint car division at Lincoln.
"We’re very excited to become title sponsor of what we hope becomes a major annual event for the 358 sprint cars," said Scott Fernbaugh, marketing manager for World Energy Systems, which has its home office in Greencastle, PA, "We hope the night will showcase the car we sponsor (the #34 car of Austin Reed), and the many cost-cutting solutions we offer for home energy needs in an environmentally friendly manner."
The "World Energy Systems World Championship for 358 Sprints" will begin with time trials at 7:30 p.m. Thundercars and 305 sprints are also on the card. Gates for the show open at 5:30 p.m. The "World Energy Systems World Championship for 358 Sprints" carries a September 11th rain date.
