Last Chance to Enter the $1,000 Fred Rahmer Win 151 Contest on the Line
ABBOTTSTOWN, PA, 3/2/06 - With the heavy rains ending early Friday morning and temperatures to rise into the 50's and a stiff breeze anticipated during the day, Lincoln Speedway promoters Don and Bob Leiby, along with Alan Kreitzer, have announced that tomorrow’s Northeast Season Opener at the Pigeon Hill’s lightning-fast 3/8th-mile high-banked oval is a go.
The Northeast March 3rd season opener will take the green flag at 2 PM to kick-off the 2007 racing season. The Saturday afternoon opener will feature the 410 Sprints in the 30-lap $3,500-to-win "Ice Breaker 30", along with the Thundercars in the "Spring Thaw 20". Gates will open at noon.
Also, don’t forget, the season opening race at Lincoln will be the final chance for fans to guess the date which Fred Rahmer eclipses Steve Smith all-time win mark of 150 wins.
Rahmer, who has amassed 148 wins since his first one on June 27th 1987, needs just two wins to tie the record that many said would never be broken. But it will be the third win, the one that breaks the all-time Lincoln Speedway win record, that will make one lucky fan richer.
The fan that predicts the night that Rahmer breaks the all-time win mark could win $1,000.
Predictions for the record-setting night must be made on an official entry form. And out of the correct predictions submitted, one will be drawn at random that same night to win $1,000. If the person drawn that night is not present, they will only win $500.
Official entry forms have been collected at the Motorsports 2007 show in Atlantic City and at the York Dirt-Trackin’ Show. The final chance to enter the contest will be during Lincoln Speedway’s season opener. No entries will be accepted after the opening day show.
No entries can be mailed. You must be at least 16 years of age to enter. One entry per person. More than one entry by the same individual will disqualify all the entries submitted by that person.
