I was not around when these 2 drove but from everything I have read and the respect that many of the drivers had for these two I wish I had the chance to see Jan Opperman and Tommy Hinnershitz .

Ray Kable. His # 90 coupe is in the Emmr museum . I think he drove a sprint car at 1 time and had 1 feature win . He was called Mr Flathead for making his flathead motors run fast .He along with Pee Wee Pobblits , Chuck Talbert Jr Talbur Roy Coghill were all part of the making of Nascar. If you look in the record books and list of results in the 50s you will see all there names.

Anyone wishing to take a stroll down racings Memory Lane, visit the York County Racing Club at there next meeting - May 20th - You will find the best collection of Drivers and Car pictures anywhere covering the walls, and in scrap books. Steve Buckwalter will be the guest speaker. And, oh yea, don't forget the YCRC Truck Fund - a buck or two will really help.
