DIETRICH RALLIES LATE TO SCORE THRILLING VICTORY AT LINCOLN SPEEDWAY; Fletcher Sweeps Season’s First Two 358 Sprint Car Features with Last-Lap Pass at Lincoln Speedway
Abbottstown, PA (April 4, 2026) – Fans at Lincoln Speedway were treated to a thrilling night of racing on Saturday, April 4, featuring multiple lead changes, intense battles throughout the field, and a dramatic late-race pass for the win.
Jude Siegel and Preston Lattomus brought the field to green, with Siegel jumping out to the early lead. JJ Loss quickly moved into second, with Lattomus settling into third as the field found its rhythm. Behind them, a side-by-side battle for fourth unfolded between Billy Dietrich and Matt Campbell.
The first caution waved on lap four for Domenic Melair. On the ensuing restart, Loss powered into the lead, while Lattomus advanced to second and Siegel slipped back to third. The action behind the leaders intensified as Billy Dietrich and Cameron Smith battled for position, with Freddie Rahmer entering the mix.
As the race progressed, Lattomus began reeling in Loss and made a bid for the lead, but a slight misstep allowed Loss to maintain the top spot. A red flag on lap 10 involving Siegel, Tyler Ross, Steven Snyder Jr., and Brandon Rahmer in turn one reset the field.
Following the restart, Loss continued to lead with Lattomus and Smith in pursuit. Rahmer, however, was on the move, charging through the field and eventually taking over second after a fierce battle with Lattomus. Rahmer then tracked down Loss and made the pass for the lead down the backstretch.
Meanwhile, Danny Dietrich was steadily working his way forward. Utilizing the high side and navigating lapped traffic to his advantage, Dietrich surged into second and set his sights on Rahmer.
The decisive moment came in the closing laps when Rahmer drifted high in turn four. Dietrich seized the opportunity, diving to the inside to take the lead. From there, Dietrich pulled away to secure the victory.
Smith capitalized late to take over third, while Matt Campbell’s strong run moved him into fourth after getting by Lattomus in the closing laps.
Fletcher Sweeps Season’s First Two 358 Sprint Car Features with Last-Lap Pass at Lincoln Speedway
Lincoln Speedway delivered another thrilling chapter in its 358 Sprint Car competition on Saturday night, as Cody Fletcher completed a clean sweep of the season’s first two features—capping the night with a dramatic last-lap victory.
Eli Tuckey and Hunter Fulton led the field to green, with Tuckey jumping out to the early lead. Fulton settled into second, while Fletcher quickly established himself in third before charging into the runner-up position in the opening laps.
An early caution on lap two for a spin by Jacob Galloway in turn four reset the field, with Tuckey leading Fletcher, Fulton, Steve Owings, and Ashley Cappetta to the restart. Owings immediately went to work, battling side-by-side with Fulton and edging ahead at the line to take over third.
The action remained intense throughout the top five, with multiple position changes and tight racing through the field. Another caution on lap six, after Ethan Greak spun and collected Owings in turn four, reshuffled the order once again, setting up a restart with Tuckey, Fletcher, Fulton, Jayden Wolf, and Logan Spahr out front.
On the restart, Wolf powered around Fulton to take third, though the two continued to exchange the position in a thrilling back-and-forth battle. Behind them, Cappetta and Spahr fought for position in the top five.
As the laps wound down, Fletcher began closing the gap on Tuckey, setting up a dramatic fight for the lead in the final five circuits. Fletcher made several attempts to get underneath Tuckey, but Tuckey held strong, maintaining a narrow advantage as the pair raced side-by-side down the backstretch.
With two laps remaining, Tuckey still held the lead by a nose, but Fletcher remained firmly within striking distance. The white flag waved with Tuckey out front, but lapped traffic loomed just ahead.
In a thrilling finish, Fletcher used the lapped cars to his advantage, making the winning move coming out of turn four on the final lap to steal the victory from Tuckey at the line.
The win marked Fletcher’s second 358 Sprint Car triumph of the season, completing a perfect start to his 2026 campaign at Lincoln Speedway.
